Iran doc ‘Once Hamoun’ gets nod at Portugal event

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Ehsani’s documentary ‘Once Hamoun’ has received an honorable mention at a Portuguese film festival.

Portugal’s international environmental film festival Cine’Eco screened ‘Once Hamoun’ in the short film competition of the event.

‘Once Hamoun’ reviews the ongoing obstacles associated with the shrinking water level of Lake Hamoun in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Balouchestan.

Over 600 documentaries from more than 30 countries were screened at the festival, which took place in the Portuguese municipality of Seia from October 14-21.
